Summary
Chronic illness is a bitch.
He struggles and struggles against it, yet everything is futile. His body feels like it's trying to kill itself and there's naught he can do.
Helplessness is the only emotion that becomes familiar with Touya. The people who stand by his hospital bed, not out of compassion. Pitying stares that rake Touya's soul over the coals, leaving only an insatiable hate for the sympathetic souls who feel that they're doing him a favour.
Things might begin to change in the hospital soon enough though. Particularly, manifested as a blonde boy with a broken arm that comes to pester him every evening with nothing but morbid curiosity in his eyes.
Touya yearns and yearns, but he knows full well that getting attached to the other is only bound to break his heart in the end.

Summary
When Hawks wakes up on an unassuming Tuesday, he expects the day to go as normal. To wake up and go for a patrol from early-til-late. To flounder around with his gateway into the league - Dabi - then write up a report to the HPSC in grievous detail on how deeply his shortcomings as a spy show.
What he certainly does not expect, is the Commission's assassin banging up a storm at his door, clearly not ready to take 'no' for an answer. Unknowing, he welcomes the other in, and experiences what it is life to be on the other edge of a blade for once, to be the one getting betrayed.
The scenario repeats itself far too many times to be a dream, and each time Hawks feels himself slipping deeper into insanity.
7 minutes: that's all he has before the knocks resound again.

Summary
Years ago, Keigo was sent on a mission to infiltrate the League of Villains. Somehow, during the year he spent there, he fell in love and started a relationship with Touya. But being stuck in the abusive cycle of the Hero Commission, he chose to lisen to his orders to turn Touya in. Their relationship was cut short so abruptly that Keigo never truly got over that heartbreak.
Set in the present day, Keigo is once again put on an infiltration mission to gather information on a new gang said to be trying to fill the League's boots. When there, he unexpectedly reunites with Touya.
GHIHB tackles challenges of grief, trauma and abusive relationships. Touya is set on trying to get Keigo out of this abusive relationship he has with the Commission, showing him the life of a villain and how being a hero is hardly any different. Both sides are severely corrupted, but one is true and the other is fake.
This is a dead dove: do not eat, enemies to lovers story that goes back and forth with their own insane and abusive relationship. At no point are they ever a normal couple. But what is normal if not boring?

"Oh?" Dabi taunts in that flashfire voice of his; and Hawks is reminded, yet again, how easily he burns. "Tell me, what poor little bastard's gonna be riding your ugly-ass coattails for the next few months?"
Hawks frowns, realizing he's just set up a question he actually has to answer. Dabi will find out anyway, won't he? If there's one thing Hawks has learned, it's that Dabi has his ways. Hawks can never hide anything from him, no matter how hard he tries, a fact that will someday spell his undoing –– but there's no way around it now.
Willing his fight-or-flight instinct into silence, Hawks reminds his sharpened feathers he's not here for either. It'll be fine. The worst part of removing a bandaid is the dread before you rip it off. Right?
So Hawks braces himself, and answers:
"Todoroki Shouto."

After Rei's mental breakdown, Touya makes a promise to his mother. As she was dragged away, he told her he'd take responsibility of his siblings. At only 18 years old, he's working a full time job at the local daycare, being a full time babysitter to all of his siblings, and oh yeah- has an obnoxious bird that can't seem to leave him alone.
OR; Touya becomes a daycare worker and Hawks goes there to drop off his adoptive brother Tokoyami.
