Summary
In the year 19,765, Childe Tartaglia was destined to die.
OR: In a modern world in which Archon—an Artificial Intelligence—has taken over humanity, the world is now in perpetual peace, the people immortal, and the word Death all but a myth. All except to the Reapers. Now, in order to balance out humanity, Reapers are tasked with the final act of a human’s life: to kill them to remind them of mortality and to keep the world's population balanced, no matter what.
In this world, Childe was chosen to die. And Zhongli was his Reaper.

Summary
The truth is that Childe has a secret. The truth is that Childe doesn’t remember much of his time in Liyue. He remembers the boring, seemingly endless paperwork, remembers collecting the sigils of permission that became a crucial part of his plan, remembers the fall of the Geo Archon at the Rite of Descension, summoning the Overlord of Vortex, fighting Lumine at the Golden House, and at the end of it all, finding out that he had been one-upped by Signora, the eighth harbinger.
What he doesn’t remember, however, is everything outside of that. He doesn’t remember how he spent his leisure time in Liyue, what he had for lunch and dinner, how the first Lantern Rite he experienced was like. There are gaps in his memories that he doesn’t know how to fill, periods in his stay in Liyue that feel like endless, dark pits. He had never felt the need to fill the gaps, because all he needs to know is that he had played his part excellently and met all the Geo Archon’s expectations.
But after seeing how concerned the travelling duo looked... he supposes his business trip to Liyue would be a good chance as any to start piecing them together.
And perhaps he could start with this mysterious man named Zhongli.

Summary
“I cannot say I am not disappointed,” the wry smile that graces the Tsaritsa’s face unnerves Zhongli. He was expecting her to not give up so easily, but he doesn’t let it show.
She exhales softly and continues, “I would like to propose an alternative then. A contract.”
“Go on,” Zhongli is not too sure if he will be amenable to it, but he can only refuse another Archon so many times before they take offense.
“A marriage between our two countries. Economic prosperity for both our nations. I am willing to supplement your forces with mine and extend them for chasm reopening efforts as well. I am sure that in return the mighty Morax will not shy away from supporting the duties of my Harbingers and Fatui if and when needed, of course.”
“What are the terms of this contract?”
“A marriage,” the Tsaritsa frowns at having to repeat herself. She then gestures towards the door, specifically at her vanguard.

Summary
After the Traveller has gone, and Zhongli is left standing over Guyun Stone Forest, he is left to bear the weight of the passage of time once more. For the God of Earth, he's a man who needs grounding. So someone comes up the mountain to get him.
Post Zhongli Act 1 scene, because I couldn't bear leaving him after the cutscene was over.
