Summary
Her house is a cemetery. Helen’s body in the garden, and memories in every corner of the house. And Zosia in the middle, like a crack in the grave. And the pain is too much. And being alone is too much. Except that when she’s with Zosia she doesn’t feel quite so alone. She feels connected to something. Clinging to Zosia with a desperate grip, even though whatever this thing between them is, it’s probably doomed to perish.
-
Set after the finale. Carol reflects on the days she spent with Zosia.

Summary
Carol wakes hungry.
For days, for weeks, there’s been a hollow and persistent ache in the pit of her stomach. An emptiness that begs to be filled.
The other side of the bed is empty, covers pulled up and smoothed carefully. A dip in the pillow where someone’s head had lain. If she placed her own head in that spot, would she be any closer to whole?
She thinks of Zosia. She thinks of Helen.
Her stomach growls.

A definitely unrealistic drabble of a take on an almost-happy ending for Carol (and the show.)

“I changed my mind,” Carol whispers. It comes out hoarsely. She’s on the floor looking up at the ceiling. Everything is spinning around her and she’s holding an empty whiskey bottle against her chest. She’s maybe never been more drunk. “I changed my mind. I want you to be Helen.”

Summary
How Burt moves in.
Burt pulls into Irving’s driveway, wondering how long he can make this drive last. Eventually, he brings the car to a stop. He’s about to open his mouth to say something to prolong the evening before Irving beats him to it.
‘Would you like to come in?’ Irving asks, a touch too loudly.
Burt turns the ignition off and faces the passenger seat. Irving’s turned to him, head tilted to the left, more in hope than in anticipation.
‘Are you sure?’Series

Summary
Irving is getting ahead of himself. Lovemaking comes after kissing, or at least that’s what he believes in his heart. And kissing, of course, comes after dating.
Irving lowers his cube wall again. "Did you notice if there were any vending machines in O&D?"
"No," Dylan says shortly, clacking away at his keyboard.
"No, you didn't notice? Or no, there weren't any?" Irving says.
"Jesus, Irving, I didn't notice," Dylan says. "Why?"
