Summary
The second the toothbrush went over the first tooth, Daniel’s gums began to bleed, though. It’s a weird sensation. Damn gingivitis. And, of course, the years of cocaine have made his teeth more sensitive causing Daniel to take a few short breaks while brushing his teeth. By the end of it and flossing, Daniel’s entire mouth is red and so is the water draining in the sink.
While putting the toothbrush back on the charger, Daniel comments, “Such a dumb concept-“
Daniel is cut off by Armand practically pouncing onto him. Armand’s lips are on Daniel’s, turning the rest of his sentence into incoherency. Daniel quickly reciprocates the kiss once he has his bearings, hands tangling in Armand’s curls. Armand’s tongue slips into Daniel’s mouth, licking at him more than usual.
Oh.
He’s after Daniel’s bleeding mouth.
Of course he is.

Or, Daniel brushes his teeth for the first time in a while, and Armand is all over him because of his gingivitis.

Summary
“And you are–,” Armand pauses, as though searching for words. Finally settles on… “Safe.”
The implications in that one word. Daniel’s near certain the kid doesn’t mean safe as in a safe bet, a sure thing. He means that he feels safe. And the fact that the kid is finding safety here of all places– in an old journalist’s arms, in his own professor’s bed, without any defined relationship. Is he speaking about emotional safety? Or is he speaking about physical safety?
Daniel’s afraid it’s the latter.

Daniel almost laughs, "You want me to rape you?"
"No," Armand says simply.
Daniel's mouth opens, then closes. He leans back against the couch. "You want to rape me?"
"Yes-- well, no." Armand furrows his brow. "Yes, I think it's best if we do it in that direction but... I want to do as the humans these days do. I'm sure you're familiar. I want to discuss a scene with you, and then I want to act it out."
Armand grows frustrated with Daniel’s rigid, modern, viewpoint on his human years. He suggests a little role play, only, Daniel is cast as the devoted servant, and Armand the master. No actual rape is depicted in this fic.
