"Oh, not you as well, Gana," He grumbled, not looking towards the source of the voice, "It's bad enough with everyone else in my head, but you as well? Please."
"I'm not a hallucination, silly."
Merlin frowned, and turned sharply to face her. Huh. It was true. Morgana was dressed in black rags, her hair a mess. He grinned and jumped to his feet.
"That's what they all say. What, you've come over here to kill me? I'm sorry for poisoning you, okay? It was a once off. Won't happen again."

Merlin and Aithusa were imprisoned by the Sarrum for five years. After going insane with hunger, loneliness, and pain, he finally manages to escape, with only a smidge of sanity left intact.

“We are therefore glad to announce, Lord Black, that you are pardoned from any retribution from the Ministry of Magic, and your claim to adopt Draco Lucius Malfoy, aged 5 months old, has been approved."
