Summary
After finally settling into a place where she feels comfortable in her career, Samira Mohan begins to reflect on her relationship with Jack Abbot. She realises there's something missing; she wants kids. Unsure about how Jack would feel about the topic, she approches the idea sort of awkwardly and with inopportune timing. But Jack's wanted kids for quite some time and he's overwhelmed by the opportunity to finally have one. Their first attempt is certainly passionate.
OR
Samira Mohan realises she's been subconsciously been wanting kids with Jack Abbot for some time and decides to mention this when things are getting heated; baby making ensues.

Summary
with ptmc short-staffed, jack has worked himself to the bone. samira tests a theory that she can get jack to take care of himself if the thinks he's taking care of her.
--
They eat with the faint murmur of the ED as a soundtrack. She pulls apart small pieces of her egg and cheese english muffin. Abbot wolfs down the burrito and studies the remains of the wrapper, as though his own hunger has surprised him.
Her lips twitch with sympathetic amusement. How oblivious he’s been to his own needs. There’s a strange delight too, in finding Ellis was right. He’ll listen to her. He’ll give in, if it’s her. The thrill down her spine is electric. She wants to know how far she can push this. Exactly how close she can get before he says no or sees through her. How good would he be to himself if she asked it of him? Will he let her love him in this transitive way? Care for yourself because you care about me and I care about you.
Well. Samira Mohan is nothing if not data-driven.

Summary
"Your standards sound pretty low," Samira replies back, even though her heart is beating so quickly it gives her a head rush. "Do you say that to every girl who asks for pictures of you shirtless?"
"No," Jack says, voice completely certain. Samira swallows. "No, Samira. Just you."
(or, maybe giving jack abbot her phone number was a very, very bad idea.)

Summary
Jack must have caught Samira’s sideways glances at the root-like scar now visible through the deep v of his top and smiled tightly. “Shark attack. Never know what animals are out there on Lake Michigan.” Keeping a straight face until the tight furrow of Samira’s brow became too earnest for him to keep up his ruse, Jack nudged her shoulder with his and snorted. “I’m kidding Mohan. Souvenir from a mortar shell in Kandahar. I promise, it didn’t hurt as much as it looks.”
“Oh! I don’t think it looks painful. It looks cool, kinda like it’s a map line on your body.” It wasn’t until Samira looked up from the tablet that she was typing her notes into that she caught Jack’s smirk, his green eyes playful under the unforgiving lighting of the exam room. “A map line…never had residual shrapnel described in that way before.” Samira felt her cheeks flare in embarrassment and fear, praying to the Gods that she hadn’t just shot her medical career in the foot by ogling a war injury of her attending.
