he isn't sure why, but the way jihoon says it has a warmth blossoming inside of him. the implications of them including him in their shenanigans is endearing, even if he knows that soonyoung and jihoon are already dating and whatever wonwoo has going on with them. ever since he's met them in autumn, he can't help but fantasize of something that involves all four of them. birth year solidarity or team captains for life, he supposes. the complete package.
but then he sees soonyoung lay his head on jihoon's shoulder and wonwoo's loving gaze on both of them. he's keenly aware of where he stands, and abruptly turns his heel and retreats into the locker room.

The performance unit captain turns his head back to the lens, and weaves a finger through the hairs curling around Jihoon’s neck.
“But one day, I want to. One day, when we get so big and no one will care. One day, I’m getting married to you. This is a video message to us in the future, you know what I mean? I’m telling not-yet Kwon Soonyoung his plans if he ever forgets them.”
Jihoon makes a tutting noise, turning his phone off and looking up at Soonyoung, though his exasperation is mostly masked affection.
“You dream a lot, don’t you, tiger?”
