A beat. Kirishima just keeps looking at him.
"Like Groundhog Day?"
Katsuki brings the hand around to his face, dropping his forehead into his palm. "Of fucking course you— Yes," Katsuki confirms, annoyed, "like Groundhog Day."
Kirishima nods, sagely. "Okay. That's… That's not the worst thing, I guess."
"Yeah, well, that's not all."
Kirishima eyes him warily. "There's more to it than just a time loop?"
"I'm also technically from the future."
or, Katsuki's 26th birthday is off to a rough start when he runs into a villain. The worst part? He gets quirked to relive the worst night of his life: the night of Shoto's dinner party and the night Izuku rejected him. Oh yeah, and it's a time loop. So he gets to relive it over, and over, and over.
Worst. Birthday. Ever.
Or is it?

“Katsuki,” Masaru asks, a little more desperately now, “Your new friend…is he…a dragon?”
Katsuki looks up from the loot bag he’s busy stuffing with bits of jade and malachite and massive, rare green sapphires and scoffs.
“Of course not,” he says, looking smug and pleased, “He’d make a terrible dragon. Deku’s my unicorn, he's way better like that, we’re gonna go on adventures together now.”
He takes his sack of loot to his room and calls.
“I wanna look through the rest of your junk later, it’s not as lame as I thought, okay?”
Mitsuki hears the door slam and turns to her mate in shock.
“A unicorn.” She mumbles.
“At least it’s not a human,” he says faintly.
Or- Izuku and Katsuki meet as children. They couldn’t be more different, or more similar either!

Wei Ying lets the oars rest and leans back, tilting his head to look at Lan Wangji. “Did you find what you’re looking for? On the docks today?”
Lan Wangji wants to turn away from his gaze. He isn’t used to being seen. “No,” he says, because he doesn’t know how to explain what he’s looking for in the first place.
Wei Ying props his chin on his fist. “Can I guess?” Without waiting for an answer, he continues, “You’ve fallen in love with a pirate girl, and you’re waiting for her to steal you away to be the glittering jewel of her collection, so you can live on the open ocean together.” Lan Wangji narrows his eyes at him and Wei Ying bursts into laughter. "Ah well," he says. "I'll get it right next time."
