Ryland Grace is back in space. (hah that rhymes)
Rocky and the Eridians, as promised, have produced enough astrophage to send him back to Earth. He's finally headed home after years of trying to accept that it might not be possible.
But something on the sensors catch his eye. A strange, isolated celestial object drifting through the vast emptiness of space. A planet already dislocated by the purge of the suneaters? No, a moon. A moon comprised of blood.
And there's something alive down there.

Summary

Summary
(SPOILERS!) what are you even doing reading this before even watching the movie what were you thinking
Grace and Rocky successfully save Earth and Erid and decide to explore the rest of the galaxy together. They stumble upon AT-5, the moon made entirely of human blood.
While mapping the anomaly, the Hail Mary’s external sensors pick up an active pinging sound coming from deep beneath the crimson ocean.
[update !]: fixed some errors.
Timeline takes place after the monster rams the sub (with some few changes), causing it to lose power and sink to the bottom of the trench but the hull does not completely breach. Simon is trapped in total darkness, running out of oxygen, effectively buried alive for days or weeks.
