it has been 2 months since ren amamiya awoke in a reality not quiete his own. it has been 2 months since akechi goro, the ex-detective prince was back in his life. it has been 2 months since they have discovered maruki's palace. ren has tried to reach out to his friends but was either blocked by maruki, the current god of their world or ignored by his once friends (he is sure of the former while akechi defends the latter). it has been 2 months since sumire has turned against them. it has been 2 months and they are running out of time. ren is running out of time with akechi. he has to tell him.

The genial smile stuck to his face starts to burn so he lifts the cup to his lips to have a few brief moments of respite. The smell never gets any less strange no matter how many times he’s exposed to bad baby milk. At least the last time he went through this, there was a cute elf to cut through the pain.
He would do anything to have Adaine interrupt this. At least he knew how to handle interacting with her. Mostly. And maybe then he could disappear from this conversation without being rude.
