"No offense but besides myself, Keith is like the hottest person on this team," Lance says.
His teammates remain silent, their eyes wide as they all stare at him. Maybe that wasn’t the best thing to say. He didn't mean to insult anyone; though he guesses starting off a sentence with ‘no offense’ confirms that he already plans on offending someone. It kind of just slipped out.
He's about to apologize when he realizes abruptly that they haven't been staring at him this entire time but specifically over his shoulder. Pidge’s face begins to break out into a grin.
Lance’s shoulders slump. "He's right behind me, isn't he?"
“I am.”
(or, the five times Lance calls Keith hot and the one time Keith says it to Lance)

Rocking on the heels of his feet, hands clasped behind his back, Lance speaks, “I’ve been in love with you since we met at the Garrison.” He grins as he finally reveals his deepest, darkest secret, turning on his heel before he can see the red paladin’s reaction. He hears it though, Keith’s confused and startled shouts ringing in his ears.
“Excuse me!? Don’t you walk away from me, Lance!” Keith growls, “You don’t just dump something like that and leave. Asshole.”
(Or Lance is stuck in a time loop and decides not to fix it but to work on another relationship instead)

“That’s a wedding ring, isn’t it?” Pidge realizes somewhere behind Keith once Lance is safely placed in the pod.
“Mm,” Keith responds without words. The ring is cold against his palm. It’ll be well over a day until Keith can hear Lance’s voice again. But he’ll be healed and whole, and if he needed to take weeks for the same outcome, Keith would gladly wait.
“When the hell did Lance get married—who the hell did he marry?”
“Pidge,” Hunk stops their ramblings and Keith has never been more grateful. “I think that one is obvious.”
(Or Keith and Lance have been secretly married for months and this is how the team finds out)

“Am I the only one who believes there’s no way our Keith is in love with someone?” Sitting cross-legged, head in his hand, Lance pouts while twirling a screwdriver. It’s been almost two weeks and he is nowhere closer to figuring out Keith’s mystery crush than he was on day one.
“Probably,” Hunk answers, half listening as he dives back into his tool box for a wrench or pliers or something to fix whatever he and Pidge have been fussing over for the past week.
“What if it’s you?” Lance says it half joking, half not because he’s been through practically everyone on their team and even some of their allies and still sees nothing. But it’s Hunk’s bark of laughter that startles him as he finally sets his full, undivided attention on Lance to say,
“It’s not me he’s in love with.”
(Or, an alien priestess curses Keith to confess to the one he loves and Lance is determined to find out who this mystery person is)
