The girl gestured to the absurd sight he’d been trying to avoid. She spoke, “Now that Lucy’s alive again, everyone’s obsessed with her. Even our president.”
Riz laughed and followed her gaze. Lucy seemed loose and open and trusting, which made Riz smile even more considering what the Bad Kids had saved her from.
“I’d be obsessed with someone that cool too.” Riz answered. He fidgeted, tapping the toe of his shoe against the carpet gently.
The girl laughed and took a sip from her can. “I feel like Fabian’s parties are weirdly cool. Like, everyone is cool here,” she said, “even if you aren’t cool at all. I don’t think I’m cool enough for this anyway.”
Riz tilted his head. “Cool enough for Fabian?” He scoffed and added, “That’s not as high a bar as you think it is.”

He tiptoed easily and thought of Jet and Ruby for a moment. They would laugh with him and sneak just ahead, holding hands and gliding between the gaps in moon and starlight. They would beckon him up the grand staircase, and he would follow with a whisper far too loud to be considered a whisper.
“Who’s there?” Theobald asked quietly, voice rough with sleep. A paw of his rested upon the hilt of his blade, and Liam wondered whether it was just for show or not. Adults were strange in that way.
Liam answered as he resumed his speed. “Liam,” he supplied succinctly. Theobald instantly eased and turned a head to see the boy as he was joined against the railing.

A few moments of silence passed in which Petyr Baelish gazed over Sansa’s visible figure, and Sansa did not look away from his eyes. At long last, Sansa prodded, “Are you intending to tell me why you called to meet past the hour of the eel? I like to keep a schedule, even with no regular day job.”
Baelish licked his lips, eyes dancing down to the ashen table that separated them. He drummed his fingers over the wood, until he seemed to relent, groan, and rub over the stubble sprouting from his chin. Sansa hadn’t seen Baelish this way in a long while.
“Yes, well, I believe you will have one soon,” Baelish attempted to slight, though Sansa was smarter. “If you take this job.”
“What job?” Sansa found herself asking rather carefully.
“The job that I have asked to meet to discuss with you.” Baelish laid out flat, as if it was obvious, “The lord Baratheon has asked something of specifically our best member, Dove.”

Summary
Nam-gyu is in his sophomore year of college, along with his good friend, Thanos.
Everything is going normal—as normal as those two can be—until one day when Nam-gyu gets attacked by a local religious villain. He’s saved by a spider-like hero, and left in a bit of a daze afterwards. He naturally tells no one of this nonsense, and simply goes back to his dorm room. When out shopping with some friends a few days later, he’s attacked yet again by the same villain, and the group is rescued by the same hero.
Nam-gyu would never guess that the mysterious hero that had continuously saved him was his own best friend, Thanos. He would also never guess that they would one day be more than friends.
