Summary
Katniss loses the pearl Peeta gave her in the Quell a little over a year after the war has ended. She panics, bringing up questions on Peeta's half as to why the pearl means so much to her.
This is my take on what happened to Peeta and Katniss that allowed them to fully grow back together. I've always wondered what it would be like for Katniss to explain her feelings, during both their Games and in 13, to Peeta, and how that would affect their relationship. I love this ship and I really hope I did them justice. I might add more one shots as I get inspired! <3

Lois wrinkles her nose. “Flowers? Doesn’t my boyfriend’s death warrant an Edible Arrangement, at least?”
“Grievers can’t be choosers,” says Jimmy. He then points to Clark, the apparent source of the grief. “Especially when their boyfriends aren’t actually dead.”
Clark gives a shrug. “I think the flowers are a nice sentiment.”
“Not that I got any flowers,” complains Jimmy, while carrying said flowers over to the coffee table. “Doesn’t the best friend of the deceased deserve condolences too?”
Without getting up, Clark leans over to pluck a flower from the vase, then tucks it into the pocket of Jimmy’s jacket. “There. You have my condolences for my death.”
“Touching, Clark. Really.”
In other words, 5 times Clark Kent “dies.” And one time he actually does. (Mostly.)
