“Quite frankly, I’m on Gizmo’s side,” Laszlo declares. “I hypnotized one of the crew to tell me what had happened and it was, in the parlance of our times, a dick move. I mean, leaving the man with blue balls without so much as a word of explanation?” He shakes his head mournfully. “A hangable offense, as far as I’m concerned. I mean, a sorry, old chap, I’m not actually in the mood, as it turns out? Perfectly acceptable. Consent is important, you know. But to leave a man high and dry and then pretend nothing ever happened? Unsportsmanlike, is what that is.”
“Unless you are into that,” Nadja adds. “We don’t judge.”
“Oh, naturally.”

Summary
Waking up seventy years into the future Steve Rogers tries to learn how to live without his soulmate or his other half. Things are mostly alright - he has a home, a sense of purpose in the Avengers and allies who have genuinely become friends. It will never be perfect, not without Lily and Bucky, but its not awful. Or at least, it WASN'T awful until he was forced to choose between rescuing a love from the past and rescuing a love from the enemy, all the while running from a government he no longer recognised as benevolent in a world that no longer viewed the heroes as the good guys.
A sequel to Angels & Peaches where our protagonists have made it to the 21st Century. Haven't they?

Summary
Steve Rogers discovers his Soulmate in 1939 when she saves his bacon in an alley fight then disappears without a trace before he can even learn her name. What follows is a series of one-sided meetings where Steve's Soulmate continues to watch over him and his best pal like a Guardian Angel. Steve sure appreciates the help but he'd much rather his Soulmate stand still for a moment and let him speak his Words to her.
Bucky has never wanted to hear the damning words his Soulmate is destined to speak, the ones that stain his skin with his evil. He'd much rather live in denial and pine for his best friend.
Darcy, stuck 70 years before her time, just wants to keep them both alive long enough for history to do its thing. Soulmates are literally the LAST thing she'd expect to find in the back alleys of Brooklyn.
Fate, of course, has other plans.
