Summary
Spencer side-eyes Hotch, waiting for an apology or at least an acknowledgment or something, because this is the same guy that apologises for being too close to someone let alone touching them. Hotch is hyper-aware of anything to do with his body, most certainly physical contact, so there is no way he has not noticed this.

Summary
Spencer carries his exhaustion like Atlas carries the globe, dragging himself to Aaron’s side when a case has taken a toll on him, never quite initiating but looking at Aaron with those same wide eyes that tell him exactly what Spencer wants, what he needs.
Aaron meets him with open arms every time, pulling him closer to tuck him into the space where Aaron’s neck and shoulder meet, a hand on the back of his skull to keep him there so Spencer doesn’t have to worry about when he’s supposed to pull away, how long he’s allowed to indulge. It’s as rewarding for Aaron as it seems to be for Spencer.
Over the months of this slow, developing change in their dynamic, Aaron is finding that he wants nothing more than to give Spencer what he needs.
AKA Spencer has always been touch averse. Aaron is realizing he may be an exception to the rule.

“Hold on! Kevin can explain, I’m sure. KEVIN!”
Kevin freezes in place when all three heads swivel to look at him, a small silver device clenched in his hand with white knuckles.
“Yes, Garcia?” he squeaks.
“EXPLAIN!” They yell in unison.
“Well, um, the uh–CIA has been experimenting with technology that can swap the consciousnesses of any two living beings…and um…well…it seems I may have accidentally deployed the test device on Agent Morgan and Dr. Reid.”
OR
Derek and Spencer have accidentally swapped bodies. This is how they get back to themselves and figure out their love lives in the process.

Summary
“I’ll drive you home,” Aaron says.
Spencer takes his hand, and what he means to say is thank you, but what slips from his lips is: “You can, you know.”
“I can what?”
“Watch me. I don’t mind. I like knowing you’re looking out for me.”
A halfway expression flits across Aaron's features, smack dab in the middle of contentment and frustration. It touches on vanity before it disappears entirely. Spencer mourns it once it’s gone.
He’s missing something.
reid gets caught with a man behind a bar, and then again, and again, and— hotch might be acting a bit...off, but it's not a problem.
