It was 6am when House woke up alone in his apartment for the seventh time this week.
He stared at the celling, unmoving except for a sigh to pass through his lips. He wondered when the mass on his chest people liked to call depression would leave.
He didn’t like to complain about it. He had a roof over his head, a good job, a friend, and one working leg. It was good. It should’ve been enough.
Or: House finally acknowledges his life sucks and actually does something to improve. Causes Wilson to also have a crisis.

“Your son.” She finished, and Nathan could almost see it. She would be grasping to sit down, or clutching her heart as if it, too, would fail her. “You have a son?”
After a moment, Nathan spoke. “Maybe?”
“And you didn’t tell me?”
“…No.” He collapsed into the desk chair, the old wheels squeaking and sliding underneath him. “I haven’t had him for that long, and he’s been having a hard time adjusting. I dont know, I’m just making up excuses.” He shook his head. “Are you mad?”
She hummed, thinking for a moment. “How old is he?” Which wasn’t an answer, but.
Nathan winced. “Uh, nine.”
“Thats a long time to keep a kid a secret.”
OR; Nathan tells a lie he is starting to get much too comfortable telling, and it leads him to taking Abaddon to Thanksgiving dinner

On his 53rd time through all of time, Abaddon can't bear to watch Nathan kill himself again and steps in. He tries to create his world where he has all four of the Freelings in the hotel and alive all while avoiding the apocalypse

This can be read completely independently, chapter's 1-9 are exactly the same as my original story, chapter 10 is mostly the same with just some minor differences at the end, forward it will be a different story with a happy ending due to popular demand. There is still a healthy dose of angst, jut, yk, it actually ends well. In the end notes of chapter 10 I will post what the differences in that chapter from the original if people coming from the original work don't want to reread it all

Summary
As Abaddon embarks on his quest of rescuing Esther and the family from future harm, he notes a mysterious presence surrounding Nathan's living days. The more Abaddon wades the paths of time, the more he begins to sense that this presence, a creature or even a parasite, is holding Nathan in its grasp. Can Abaddon do something to kill it and free Nathan, or has time claimed the man as a prize forevermore?
