“Where are we going?” Sam asks, accusatory, and dumbly. “Your TV’s in the living room.”
“Oh,” Bucky says, opens his bedroom door and Sam is blasted with the scent of bud so strong that he’s taken aback. Bucky closes the door. He looks back and forces an awkward chuckle. “Sorry, man, I should have told you in the texts. I’m uh, what does the internet call it, zootled.”
“Zooted,” Sam corrects him, “It’s zooted."

Summary
Sam sat on the far end, elbow resting on the armrest, socked foot pulled up onto the cushion. Bucky had wedged himself between the couch and the coffee table, back against the couch, his head resting near Sam’s knee. Not quite touching. But close. A mug balanced between his hands, steam curling up toward the ceiling fan.
On screen, something exploded. Probably a war movie. Probably not one either of them actually liked, if the glassy, half-bored looks on their faces were any indication. Then Sam reached down. Barely looking, hand dropping into Bucky’s space. Bucky didn’t even blink. Just leaned a fraction to the side, enough for Sam to tug the elastic band out of his hair.
Sarah’s mouth tightened. That’s suspicious. That’s weird.

Summary
It was supposed to be Sam out here running end to end across the globe looking for Bucky Barnes. It wasn't supposed to be Sam waking up to find out the missing amnesiac has been taking liberties with his phone while he sleeps. The first mistake he makes is misinterpreting Bucky's intentions, the second is maybe getting a little too attached, but is that one really a mistake?

There are three things that Sam Wilson knows to be true about his job at the Westview Zoo. Number one: the birdhouse is without a doubt the best exhibit to work in. Number two: all the concessions they sell to visitors for an arm and a leg are completely inedible except for Dip n’ Dots, specifically the Banana Split flavor. And number three: Bucky Barnes absolutely, 100% hates him.
Or: five times Sam thought Bucky despised him, and one time he realized he didn't.
