During Season Eight when a mandatory hermit meeting is called, there is no one to watch over the youngest of all the players on the server. With no other choice, Grian brings Tommy to the meeting, where he ends up meeting a certain voidwalker.
From then on Ex is roped into babysitting for night and accidentally ends up caring more than he wanted to in the first place.
