Summary
Stiles is in the middle of a ten year war between Alphas and Omegas. The Alphas believed that Omegas were nothing but breeding machines that were only born to spread their legs and produce Cubs for the pack and as such Omegas were enslaved, taken against their wills at young ages to be made into the perfect little Omega slaves, pretty and docile, Stiles despised Alphas, sure there were some Alphas that didn't agree with the others and they are the main reason the Alpha/Omega war had still continued this long. Betas were half and half, half agreed with the Omegas and half agreed with the Alphas. Stiles had long ago accepted that he was an Omega and nothing could change his biology, but that didn't mean he liked it. His father had taught him from the day he was born how to be like a Beta, how he should hold himself, how to control his instincts. Omegas were naturally faster and their senses sharper because of their small size, everything else kind of made up for how small they were, but Stiles had lifted weights from a young age and he could pass for a lithe Beta or a strong Omega. He preferred the Beta. It was safer being a Beta.

"Alpha! Alpha! Alpha!" Derek whips his head around to see none other than his young Mate, Stiles Stilinski, bounding as gracefully as a baby deer towards him. His awkward and too-big-for-him limbs tripping him up slightly as he hurries over. Stiles small body crashes into him and it shouldn't have made Derek topple over, but he knows what joy it brings to Stiles when he pretends Stiles is stronger than him. Derek falls on to the grass with a thud, Stiles landing directly on top of him, giggling in a way only a five year old wolf could. "Alpha." Stiles hums, rubbing his small face into Derek's neck.
Derek rumbles in response, his arms immediately wrapping around the slender child and hold him as he rubs his scent into the boy's hair. It's been much too long since they'd last seen each other and he can't help but want to erase everyone else's scent from the boy. Stiles giggles as Derek flips them over, caging in Stiles small frame and rubbing up against his body. "Mine." Derek growls as he continues his scenting. "My Mate."

The man chuckled as he moved in front of Stiles, his Omega trailing behind him at what society called 'a respectable distance' as if Omegas needed to cower behind their Alphas. "Where's your Alpha?"
Stiles shrugged and stood up, popping his back lightly as the man stared him down. "At our home maybe, I don't know. I'm not his keeper."

“There’s a patient,” she chocked on the words. “I need you to take care of him. He’s practically family,” she is crying now, half sobs forcing their way out of her throat and it’s a horrible sound that makes Derek want to step back, but her grip is still strong on his top. “They won’t let me back there with him, because I’m, well,” she scoffs, “Just look at me. You have to take care of him, you’re one of the best nurses here.”
Derek finds himself nodding before he even realizes he’s doing it. He’s not sure if it’s just blatant curiosity making him want to help or the fact that he’s never seen the strong Melissa McCall break down and almost beg Derek to take on a patient. Maybe a little bit of both, he decides. “Do you have his file?” she nods, handing him a thick manila folder with different colored paper sticking out of it everywhere, this patient must see be here a lot. What the hell kind of name is that? He can vaguely make out a ‘z’ somewhere in the name, but it mostly looks like a bunch of random letters.
“Stiles, do not call him anything but Stiles.” Melissa says, as if reading his mind.
