This is the first story I've labeled with an explicit rating, as it is the most graphic work I've publicly shared so far. It is not for everyone as it is rather heavy, and that is fully understandable!

Summary
This is a ‘what if’ character study on Mr. Honey stealing Brook’s chance to nurse Rose back to health. The introductory premise is an AU, but everything beyond it is canon. I might go back and swap the inciting incident out for another time Rose gets extremely injured.
I can’t overstate my recommendation that you read my story on Rose prior to this one. Many things simply will not make sense without context. Again, I might retrofit this into a fully independent story, but for now, please get the context from the other piece. As always, thank you for reading.
