Summary
Death is a funny thing, isn't it? One wrong move and you're gone forever. Well, your physical body is still there, but your consciousness isn't. When you think about it, surviving death is somehow worse. The hospital bills, the recovery, the independence you must give up. It’s downright horrible. But you know how it can be even worse? If the person who killed you came to your hospital room and brought flowers. If he dared to say “sorry” with those sympathetic eyes dripping with crocodile tears. Now that would be hell on Earth, alright.

Tangerine survives the shot to his neck, but now he's subjected to Ladybug's constant attempts to apologize to him. But thankfully Lemon's there to fend him off.

Summary
An especially stressful opening night draws Preston’s attention to his worst habits. Unfortunately, these habits land him in an uncomfortable spot. He can either go out onstage with bloody fingers, or find a way to hide this stupid, tedious habit. For the time being, gloves would do! After the show goes on without a single hitch, David pulls him aside. Questioning why he’s wearing gloves drives Preston to lash out, which raises a few red flags for David. The next day, David visits Preston again, and sees the problem. As he isn’t trained in this specific lane of counseling, he delegates this to Gwen. She soft-diagnoses Preston with OCD after questioning him, which immediately sets off red alerts in Preston’s head. Which Gwen was expecting, so she explains what it entails and what would possibly help his physical issues, like skin picking. They settle on painted nails, which Gwen is very excited to help with. This obviously causes people to make fun of Preston, which he’s already accustomed to.

“Yeah, whatever, mate,” Tangerine sighed, looking skyward for guidance only to receive a massive fuck you as the fluorescent lights burned holes into his retinas, temporarily spotting his vision.
He listened as Lemon let out a low sigh, the sound of it grading against Tangerine’s nerves as he realized that they were wasting time.
Any second now, Ladybug would be rummaging through luggage, searching for the briefcase—snatching it and inevitably restarting this whole mind fuck of a day. It didn’t matter if Tangerine managed to avoid getting shot to death; he'd end up with his arms chopped off once they reached Kyoto if the case and the White Death’s son weren’t intact. Then, instead of being treated to the peaceful release of death, he’d end up here again, sitting in front of Lemon with two packets of fucking biscuits clutched in his hands as he’d no doubt try to fight off the trauma of dying and coming back to life like he was fucking Jesus Christ himself.
It was complete and utter bullshit.
Or: Tangerine gets stuck in a time loop.

Summary
He thinks about what Ladybug must look like from time to time, and still hasn’t landed on an answer. In the beginning Tangerine had been content to treat him as a disembodied voice, an amorphous, insignificant aid who would be replaced in a matter of weeks, but the longer Ladybug has stuck around the more curious Tangerine has gotten. He hasn’t known what any of his other handlers look like, hasn’t wanted to, but Ladybug is starting to look like an exception to the rule.
