“He risks a glance into those soft blue eyes, though, and his decision practically gets made for him.
Yeah, he’s really going to do this.
He glances around, making sure there’s nobody within earshot before leaning down to whisper in Soap’s ear: ‘My room. 21:00. The door will be unlocked for you. Copy?’
The closeness, the intimacy of it sends an involuntary shiver down Soap’s spine, his brain nearly short circuiting at the idea of what Ghost might be suggesting.
‘Affirmative,’ Soap rasps out, hardly skipping a beat but sounding nowhere near as unaffected as he’d like to be.
‘Good,’ Ghost responds with finality, smile audible in his voice as he walks away, leaving Soap to pick his jaw up off the floor.”

Soap knows that this is a bad idea from start to finish, knows what he should say, knows that he should walk away and pretend like they never got themselves into this mess.
