Sejanus Plinth volunteers in place of the boy who used to be his friend, and now it's up to Coriolanus Snow to present him to the Capitol as something worthy of their attention. Hopefully, the two of them can charm the audience into accepting a District boy as one of their own. Summary
All Aegon has ever known is his mother's fear and rage, his father's cold indifference, and his grandfather's blind ambition. Unable to handle eternally falling short of their exceptions, or to face the threat of war on the horizon, he buries himself in his vices in order to cope, and waits for the world to be set aflame by the King's passing.
Until Helaena gives him some advice that changes the course of his life, and the future: try and revive his old bond with his nephew, Jacaerys. If Aegon can convince him that he is no threat, then maybe Rhaenyra and the rest of the realm will believe it too.
And if that means sneaking out to Dragonstone on Sunfyre? Learning more of his eldest sister and her family then he has ever before known? Realizing how kind and brave, smart and maybe even beautiful Jace is? And if those things together, shift the course of the Dance of Dragons, and House Targaryen forever?

The Godswood was cold, and the spring snows crunched underfoot as Jon and Sansa entered. As they walked, Jon took the time to look at Sansa's gown. It was one of her nicer ones: dark grey, with white weirwood trees running up it, the leaves picked out with red beading. Her hair was braided and wrapped in a Northern fashion, too, which wasn't so unusual, but this particular style generally called for an extra set of hands to finish. Jon was immediately on his guard; Sansa's attire was always utterly appropriate, so if she was dressing up, it was definitely for a reason.
Jon halted in place. Sansa turned to him, eyebrows raised. "What are you up to?" Jon asked her pointedly.
"Caught on, have you?"

King’s Landing was too hot. Hot, and loud, and reeking of rancid sea air and the rankness of too many bodies bustling in too tight a space. Jon hated it and he had hated it since the moment he saw the towers of the Red Keep and the city’s high walls from horseback in the procession that brought him to the capital. Jon tugged on the collar of his doublet, pulling it away from his neck to let what little breeze there was blow onto the sweaty skin there. Jon was not made for the South, he decided. He was a Snow, made for cold and ice. Not for thick sea air and the hot southern sun.
(Jon's lord father may be Hand of the King and his half-sister engaged to the prince but in King's Landing Jon Snow is nothing more than a bastard. Lonely and bored, Jon takes to walking the markets on the Street of Steel. Satin had come to King's Landing for a fresh start but finds himself living much the same as he had in Oldtown - wasting his days and working away his nights as a lowly whore in a brothel on the Street of Silk. By rights, they should never meet. By chance, they do. A story of friendship and love, desire and denial, push and pull, will and won't as two boys who were never supposed to fall in love do just that.)
