“Okay,” The bloke in a blue suit said, “Before we start talking about this can I just bring up the hilarious memes that have been going around with Haaland. I mean, they leave me crackling.” The room exploded into laughter.
“What?” Jude asked.

The fountain murmurs, and the breeze blows. It’s cool against the rush of heat that hits Jude’s face at the sight of his old teammate standing before him this late at night.
“Why are you here?” Jude blurts out, because he can’t yet say any of the other things racing through his mind.
Erling seems amused by his question. His lips quirk up into a smirk. Jude forces his mind away from the memories of being eighteen and wanting something more than what he had.
“I wanted to find you.”
After the England vs. Norway game, Jude takes a walk by the river to try to clear his mind. He doesn't get much time alone.
