His father is in jail, and Friday Barnes is to blame. Consumed by rage, Ian Wainscott vows revenge. His plan is simple: befriend the awkward, hat-wearing genius who ruined his family, earn her trust, and then destroy her. But the line between vengeance and attraction quickly blurs as Ian discovers the real girl behind the case. Now, his carefully laid plot threatens to unravel, forcing him to choose between salvaging his father's legacy and pursuing a future he never saw coming, one that might just include the very girl he swore to hate.

Summary
Crimson brake lights bled across the wet asphalt. The sickly green of pawnshop signs flickered from behind streaked windows. An ATM’s electric blue pulse glowed through the drizzle like a slow heartbeat. The city sprawled beneath her not as a collection of neighbourhoods or landmarks but as a circuit board waiting for a current, each road a copper trace, each junction a soldered connection. Lucy liked it this way. The low visibility suited her. The way her tyres sprayed water up onto the curbs felt like a signature. The late night arteries of the city were empty, and empty roads were an excuse, or perhaps a command, to push just a little bit harder.
(All cars with a license plates are actual cars currently driving on Perth, Western Australian roads that drive like jackasses and pissed me and my friends off.)

Summary
The concept of soulmates was not a poetic fantasy but a biological certainty. It manifested on their 21st birthday, a single fingerprint, always the left thumb, would subtly shift, its unique pattern reforming to perfectly mirror that of their destined other half. It was a one-in-several-million chance. Society treated it with a mix of reverence and bureaucratic efficiency. There were registries, protocols, tax benefits, and a whole cultural industry around the “Revelation.” Finding your match was like winning the cosmic lottery. It meant perfect compatibility, a bond deeper than any other. It was also, as DEPRAC procedures strictly dictated, a legally binding bond that took immediate precedence over almost everything else, including minor criminal charges.

Summary
For Lucy Carlyle, the gruelling spring semester at Fittes House Academy is defined by one thing: Anthony Lockwood.
While she should be buried in books on impressionism, her focus is consistently hijacked by the Advanced Stagecraft class. And Lockwood, with his effortless grace and infuriating charm, is the star of the show. From her bench under the ancient oak, Lucy’s careful studies dissolve into agonising, exquisite observations of his every move, the sound of his laugh, and the way he moves with a liquid, terrifying grace.
