"I take it you did not take kindly to the review I published?" Will's brow furrows. No, he thinks bitterly, no, I didn't, because you tore what I made for four fucking years to shreds, and I know that I won't rest until I make it perfect for you, which is your fault.
"I didn't mind." It comes out too defensive, too aware of all of his insecurities. Will clears his throat. "Art is...subjective. You expressed your opinion. I can't be upset about that." Hannibal looks to him, bemused. He hides his wolfish grin behind his champagne flute.
"And yet, you find a way, Mr Graham."
