Summary
Jason is lurking on the TVTropes forums when he notices a sprawling argument about a comic book character, all directed toward one guy.
Turns out, user PRIMETIME69 (who joined 4 years ago, relationship status is “Every breath you take, every move you make, I've been watching you”, and forum signature is “Punching through YOUR reality this next issue!”) is used to arguing.
This same user is also, unfortunately, Red Hood's biggest fan.
(Or, Jason finds out about a guy on TVTropes who really likes Red Hood. Later, he meets the new Superman, who seems to really like Jason Todd. He deals with it. Normally.)

Summary
“Jesus. How many of you Super-freaks are there?” Jason’s voice came out deep and accented and sounded immediately familiar despite the fact that they hadn’t met before now. Somewhere between Troy Baker, Jensen Ackles, and a third thing in the back of his mind. But this Jason wasn’t animated, he was real. This was the voice he had been imagining in his head for every word balloon.
Prime had been hoping for instant recognition, but he’d planned for Jason not to know him. It was possible that he’d rehearsed a scenario or two in the mirror. Improvising all of his dialogue was harder than it looked.
“Ja—uh. Red Hood. I’m Superboy Prime.”
He grinned his best winning smile, the kind that said ‘Aren’t I disarming?’ and held no traces of ‘I’ve read under the red hood more than twenty times and may or may not have voted to kill you.’
In which Prime ropes Jason Todd into his long and somewhat convoluted path to redemption.

He stepped aside, letting Prime slip past him before he could change his mind and kick him out. The door clicked shut behind them, and Jason crossed his arms as he tilted his head in thought.
"How did you get my address?"
Prime stared pointedly at a plant that he knew was fake, but poked at anyway. "Um. Googled it."

Or: Prime realizes he doesn't have anyone around his age to be friends with. After eliminating unlikely candidates, he settles on befriending his favorite character. And maybe lets the wrong head make decisions for him.

The thing was, [Jason] forgot sometimes. He’d forget. He’d get a little … lost. Literally and figuratively. He would sit across the chessboard from [Bruce,] and he would move the pieces, but he would do it wrong. And [Bruce] would always give him a certain look, though he clearly tried not to, but [Jason] didn’t know what he was doing wrong. He knew, he knew he used to know this. It was so familiar; he must have known once, but he couldn’t get it right no matter what he tried. But [Bruce] kept setting up the board, and [Jason] kept trying because he was going to get it right one of these times. He was absolutely determined to.

Bruce looks down again, this time focused entirely at the spot where the palms of their hands touch, Jason's soft and unblemished and Bruce's calloused and scarred, “Thank you for waking me up. I'm sorry if I scared you."
“I wasn't scared,” Jason immediately says. He sounds as childish as he feels.
Bruce doesn't chastise him, blinking slowly at him as he laughs quietly and whispers, “I was pretty scared.”
Jason's hand squeezes around Bruce's wrist involuntarily.
(When Bruce has a nightmare, Jason is the one to save him.)

“No,” Bruce says, shaking his head. “That’s not what I meant.” Breathes in, shoulders rising with it. Looks straight at Jason. “I mean…” breathing in again, finally getting out, “I think both of us should take a break.”
Jason stares at him, ground tilting under his feet and his heart tilts with it. Thrown. Asks, “What?” Voice coming out too hoarse and Jason shakes his head to clear it.
Bruce continuing on without him, brow tensing, says, “From Gotham. From everything, both of us.”

Jason Todd should be dead.
He's been living on a timer, always aware that eventually, it'll run out. Jason was only brought back to help people, even if he let himself get caught up in his own wants. Now, he isn't needed anymore.
The rot sets in and he slowly feels his body decay, pushing past it to do as much as he can before he dies. Jason starts avoiding people, not wanting to subject them to the sight or smell of his rotting flesh. They'd pity him, he doesn't deserve it. He doesn't want them to mourn him, at least not whilst he's still here. Still technically alive. Jason doesn't want to be mourned, not when all he craves is the peace of death.
Jason Todd dies alone, wrapped in a shroud of bloody cloth in his safehouse, the stench of rot and vomit permeating the air.

Nothing, not even white noise anymore. Jason's fingers found the tacky blood smeared on the little device, then his arm dropped, suddenly too heavy.
"Shoulda known this is how it would go," he muttered to himself. "Shoulda expected this."

Somebody was bound to recognize him, as crazy as it was.
Six months after Jason Todd died, Bruce Wayne is barely functioning.
