Their eyes were glued onto each other like they just needed something to look at in place of meeting his gaze, Andy fiddling with his fingers and Ollie chewing on his bottom lip. There were times that he swore the twins had some form of psychic communication gifted solely to the two of them and no one else. This would be one of those times.
"What?” Jimmy grew concerned by the second, the touch of irritation in his words making this very clear. “What's the matter with you two?"
A nervousness that was quite hard to watch seemed to prey on them as Ollie, the less sensitive of the two, took a few unsteady steps forward until he was close enough to put his little hands on the counter and go tippy-toed.
"So, you're gonna come see us when we go up to perform right?" Ollie's voice wavered. In a matter of seconds, Jimmy watched his eyes water.

Summary
Lukas finally took this opportunity to get a good look at them. He doesn't feel as though he's gotten a chance these past few days. Dark circles adorned their under eyes, their skin a sickly pale tone, dirt and sweat mucking up all around their face. It’d also done the task of making him painfully aware of how they were shaking in his arms, ridden with physical fatigue.
His stomach turns. How could he be so careless? How come he hadn’t seen this earlier? No, something had to change.
"Let me take care of you tonight, okay?" He demands quietly yet firmly, watching with amusement as Jesse's face flushes when he brings their hand up to his lips and presses pecks against their bruised knuckles. "Let me be selfish."

“Fiore.”
She tenses at his stern tone. The grip on her kitten eraser-adorned pencil tightens, her knuckles whitening with haste. She falls eerily silent, yet her pencil scribbling away frantically at the worksheet in front of her almost acts like a second set of vocal chords.
Her handwriting becomes cacophonous— He can’t tell her 1’s from her 7’s anymore.
Alec softens, shoulders dropping just a little lower at her avoidant behavior. “Something is clearly bothering you. Did something happen at school today?”
The thud of Fiore slamming her pencil down echoes throughout the library's study room. So much so that it startles him a bit.
“No.” She replies coldly, sliding her completed work over to him. “Just do us both a favor and give me an A+ so I can get out of your hair.”

Unbeknownst to Alec, Fiore comes into tutoring with her mind freshly full of the stinging words spoken by Alec during his newly released presentation video for Season 5. She isn't taking it too well. Alec picks her brain for what's bothering her and is left with more questions than answers.

“Adelia.” She breaks out into a cold sweat quicker than she can keep track of, her shaky pants echoing in her ears as she stands to her feet. Her knees feel weak, like they could buckle and give out on her at any moment, sending her to the floor.
“What the fuck?!” Hannah’s voice adds insult to injury, the cracking in her voice putting a pang in her heart.
“Goddamnit!” Natalia curses from the seat beside her.
“Last vote and 11th person voted out of Disventure Camp…”
“Adelia! Time to head home.”
There’s a frenzy of outcry from behind her, it all blends together in the background.

“Been a while since the last time I was in a cave…” The tone of her voice catches Alec’s attention after just another moment. It’s low and uneasy, words that don’t quite suit what she’s about at all. Her eyes move around, glued to the floor and seeming far-off.
Alec blinks down at her. “Are you–?”
“No!” Fiore barks back with a shake of her head and a burning glare. She won’t be having any of it. “No.”

“Hey, my things!-” However, he isn’t there anymore, apparently also having gotten off the bus. Fiore scrunches her face up in anger. How is she supposed to get her luggage now? She would have to try and climb up there. But how would she open the hatch and get the bag down without falling? She supposed it wasn’t the end of the world if she fell, but getting hurt this early in the game could be a pretty big disadvantage depending on the injury-Fiore feels a nudge on her back, and when she darts around she finds her bag. It’s being held by the guy in the blue sweater, and he’s looking down at her expectantly.

The guy in the blue sweater comes off the bus seconds later, and is on the opposite team. Fiore supposes this is for the best, since if she had judged him correctly he would be completely useless.

Summary
Quid Pro Quo - An exchange between two parties for services that are mutually beneficial. Like separate companies trading goods. Or members of a team or alliance helping each other in a reality television series.
Now the deal goes farther than that. When Alec is offered money to help tutor Fiore at her Catholic Boarding School in Italy, it's a deal he can't refuse. She doesn't get expelled and sent to all different schools, and Alec gets a roof over his head and a change of scenery. Fair deal.
But now things are different. Alec gets to see Fiore in a different light, viewing her not as a cunning, manipulative mastermind, but as a child lost in this world. When problems come to light, Alec is forced to face himself and the possibility that he might have more in common with Fiore than he would like to admit.

Summary
Fiore, off for summer vacation, is shocked to find that instead of spending time at her parents house, she will be staying at Ashley's farmhouse for a week. Not that she was excited to spend time with her parents.
But Ashley is a whole different issue. They hate each other. And they aren't afraid to show it.
All they have to do is go a week without killing each other. But other issues arise, and the girls must ask themselves if they're willing to move past reality television drama and face their actual problems.
