    Summary

In a world where Omegas are the property of the elite Alphas, locked away and treasured by those wealthy enough to buy them, John never questioned his flatmate's secondary gender. Sherlock Holmes was an Alpha through-and through.

    Wasn't he?

A chance discovery turns the world on its head, and John is left grappling to come to terms with Sherlock's past as events conspire to threaten their future.

Incredible. Amazing worldbuilding. Not your usual Alpha-Omega fic. Very nice and long. And what a case...

Of course Sherlock can't just have an ordinary migraine. What did you expect, with that freak brain of his? Beautifully insightful.

    Bookmarker's Notes

A case gets complicated when Sherlock falls ill. Caregiver John obsesses about Sherlock's eating habits (a recurring theme with this author). Some medical and personal history for Sherlock, who is a surprisingly meek and cuddly patient... as long as it's John treating him. The case gets interesting, and romance ensues.

    Summary

"What could I want so desperately that would make me sell my soul? What could possibly compel me to surrender the part of myself that makes me who I am: the source of my magic, my self-control, everything?"

Magic has been a part of Sherlock's life for as long as he can remember. Most people view his abilities with suspicion, their own power pale in comparison to what he can do. Jealous rumours dog his footsteps: accusations that he sold his soul in exchange for his talents.

Then John Watson enters his life, all ease and acceptance, and Sherlock will do anything – will pay any price – to ensure nothing brings him to harm.

    Bookmarker's Notes

Moriarty is a demon, Sherlock is a powerful adept, pretty much everyone is a magic user of some sort. Beautiful and coherent worldbuilding (original or borrowed from somewhere?) and nice characterization of Sherlock-John relationship. Gets a bit soppy at some point. All in all very good reading.
