Summary
“Wait, wait, pick a queen, R!” Joly shouted, “Double coronation!”
Grantaire’s lips twisted as he smiled. One tooth angled out slightly from the others, it made his grin sharp.
“Our mighty leader was born to be a queen of sorts, more Boudicca or Margaret of Anjou, but my point stands I think.” He said, and he turned to look at Enjolras.
There was a beat of silence.
“Grantaire,” Enjolras said, as if that covered everything.

Summary
Like everything Grantaire does, it’s a puzzle. A problem with so many confusing answers that Enjolras never lets it take priority in his mind. And sure enough, after what seems like an endless deluge of paperwork, questioning, raised voices and clipped answers, when the two of them stand side by side in a holding cell waiting for one of their friends to post bail, he gets angry.

Summary
Unthinking Adora leans forward to tuck a loose tendril of hair behind Catra’s ear. Catra stills. Her ears and tail go rigid with anxiety, and it’s only then that Adora realizes how much Catra’s hair has grown in the last few months. At this length, pushed back behind her ears, it reminds Adora of…
She remembers the shock of seeing Catra’s hair, shorn and slicked back, on Horde Prime’s ship. She had never seen Catra’s hair that short in her life — and if she had, it would have been when they were too young for her to remember.
Without it, she had seemed so small.
“I’m sorry,” Adora says, snatching her hand back. “I didn’t mean to, I—”
“It’s fine,” says Catra. She runs a hand through her hair, effectively dislodging the piece that Adora has just brushed down. She catches Adora’s hand in hers and says, “If it’s you, it’s fine.”
_________A study of character and relationship growth through hair, or: Five times Adora helped Catra with her hair, and one time Catra helped Adora with hers.

Summary
“I’m not drunk enough for this,” are the first words out of Grantaire’s mouth. It’s an understatement; he’s not drunk at all. It’s just that Enjolras is standing on his doorstep, looking rough around the edges and exhausted in a way that Grantaire never wants to see again.
He regrets the words as soon as he says them, as soon as Enjolras looks up at him with a desperate look that Grantaire knows all too well, like he’s drowning and Grantaire is the only thing left for him to hold onto.
“Well, come on.” He says. “If you’re a wanted criminal now you probably shouldn’t be standing in the doorway.”
