It was ridiculous. He could calculate the speed and trajectory of bullets. Predict the next blow of the enemy. He could manipulate gravity, for God’s sake.
He could make a fucking braid.
Needless to say, the third time he had to start again, Dazai was laughing and shaking so hard, that Chuuya felt like her hair strands were reigns and Dazai was a particularly insufferable pony on crack.
“I need a fucking hairbrush! Don’t you have a hairbrush?!”
“What do you think, Chuuya? Does it look like I have a hairbrush?”

This was far from the first time Dazai spent time in a mental institution. The inpatient facility was more like a second home at this point. He wasn't expecting anything different from usual when he was admitted yet again. But a short redhead with anger issues had the potential to save Dazai from this monotonous torture.

Dazai’s first stuffed animal was a raggedy little thing. It was messily handstitched with mismatched pieces of cloth; some legs not quite as filled as the others. The eyes were two different-sized buttons, and the smile wasn’t straight.
It was the best-looking dog he’s ever seen.
