Grace had become used to living in her shell, content with her solitude by shutting out the rest of the world. But after escaping from the ARK, she decides to take matters into her own hands and take a leap of faith.
The Ashcroft household could stand to take in a few more members. Even if they may be a former B.O.W. with no understanding of the outside world and a PTSD ridden government agent with a penchant for unhealthy coping mechanism.
OR
2 times Leon helped Grace out in a pinch + the 2 times Grace repaid the favour. Not that they're keeping count.

Consciousness comes back in a rush, a gasp escaping his lungs from the shock of icy water that splashes violently across his face. He flounders for a moment, spluttering on water before he can properly blink his eyes open. Krauser stands beside his bed, holding a rusty-looking bucket that drips water onto the hardwood floor, a rhythmic tapping sound. His face is a mask of displeasure.
"Get your ass out of bed, Rookie," he growls. "I don't care how many hours you like to sleep, training starts now. On the field in five."
