Summary
Dick laughs once, high and loopy. “You’ve got a lot of faith in my ability to not stoop lower. The night is young. The possibilities are endless.” Then Dick lowers his voice and asks, “how are you doing, Jay?” Jason can tell his eyes are on him, but he doesn’t look up. He looks over his ties, checks the sutures. A little pressure of the scissors makes Dick flinch.
“If you are asking if my stomach has been in my throat this entire time—“ Jason probes a stitch a little harder, “— the answer would be yes.”
Dick makes a crooning sound. A mournful apology from an alpha who has upset his pack omega. “Sorry,” he whispers. “I’m sorry for making you worry. That must’ve been terrifying for you.”
Dick Grayson gets shot while on patrol. Jason Todd, too pregnant and too tired for this shit, stitches him up.

Summary
Jason stares. The rooftop drops another ten degrees. Dick wants to spoon up all the pieces of his soul that just drooled out of him and shove them back in. He wants to bury his head into his own hands and suffocate. He wants his heart to stop aching.
Jason opens his mouth. "I'd fuckin’ toss it if it was some random dead alpha’s baby. That’s why I can’t make a decision— because it is yours. And it’s different knowin’ that it's yours.”
A series of vignettes, of sorts. Dick Grayson deals with the weight and guilt of getting Jason Todd pregnant.

"What don't I understand?" Max asks.
George lets out a long breath.
Then he looks at Max as though he's about to reveal the most closely guarded secret in the world. He lifts his other hand and cups Max's face, squishing his cheeks slightly between his palms. With his right thumb, he gently brushes the skin beneath Max's eye.
Then he leans in conspiratorially and whispers:
"I need to trick the Universe."

After a string of setbacks, George experiences a relapse of his obsessive-compulsive disorder. Max really wishes he'd known about George's diagnosis before listening to all of that.
