Jaskier was trying not to hope. Geralt had said he would come again if he could, and Jaskier had entreated him to write, but he wasn’t holding his breath on that front. Geralt seemed the sort of man who was hesitant to admit he had needs and wants until he couldn’t ignore them any longer.
But the witcher might show up any day, any hour. He might.

The witcher turned to look at the man who had spoken. “I didn’t know they had boys here.”
“Watch who you’re calling a boy,” the whore said with a lopsided smile. Geralt looked closer at him.
No, not a boy, but he looked very young and it was difficult to determine his age. He was dark-haired and tall — about as tall as the witcher — but he was trying to make himself seem smaller, looking up at Geralt through his eyelashes.
They were pretty eyelashes, and pretty blue eyes.

Jaskier wanted to reach down and touch himself, but Geralt had told him to keep his ass out and his hands off, or else.
Jaskier was very, very tempted to know what or else meant.

It was the best winter at Kaer Morhen that Geralt could remember. There was nothing missing. And so the witcher slept deeply. His nightmares were easily banished and his dreams, overall, were good ones.
His current dream was particularly pleasant. He was fucking Jaskier. Or being fucked; his dream couldn’t seem to decide. It was nebulous and hard to decipher exactly whose limbs were where. Whatever it was, it felt good.
