Yeah, Midoriya might be a perpetually exhausted pre-med college student who has to juggle raising a kid, working four jobs, and maintaining his scholarships (thanks capitalism) but it's a happy enough life. Even through the turbulence of his teenage years when his life practically fell apart from under him, he picked up the pieces and put himself back together. Now, his son is his world, he has three awesome best friends who he'd give his life for, and he has a deep-rooted need to help people. But when he reconnects with Bakugou, who he'd left back with his old life and who Midoriya had just dropped off the face of the earth for, he has to confront the past he'd repressed for years and realize that putting band-aids on a broken vase doesn't fix the damn vase.

Izuku is a little... weird. That's what everyone says, anyways. Perhaps it's his bright red shoes, the too-vivid eyes. Or maybe it's the way he always knows when someone is behind him, the way he knows how to fight like a pro-hero, the way he stares at things that aren't there.
It's probably the shoes. The seven ghosts following him likely had something to do with it, too.

Summary
The Thoughts had been there for as long as Izuku could remember. They were a constant murmur just beneath the surface as he observed things, people, situations...everything.
The Thoughts themselves were always changing, rattling off quirk analysis and predictions and threat assessments and psychological breakdowns until Izuku felt like he would drown beneath the sheer amount of data he was constantly inundated with even when walking down a mostly empty street.
It was terrifying, and overwhelming, to look at the world and instinctively know how to break it down to its smallest, weakest pieces.
The Thoughts made him smart, helped him make and execute successful plans on the fly, made him a better hero.
But they made him a monster too.

Shouto just wanted some chicken nuggets from McDonald's, but the cheap Endeavor toy sort of ruined the whole thing. So he sits there, sulking at his Happy Meal, until a nosy Izuku decides to do something about it. It doesn't take more than three play-dates for them to decide that they'll stick together, no matter what kind of shit life might (and does) throw at them.
This can be read as the start of the series (or even as a stand-alone), but the first fic is only 4k so it's up to you. :D

The “Izuku is a witch who was practically raised by werewolves” AU that no one asked for.
Starring: A supernatural world hidden from quirk society. Izuku’s a confused cinnamon roll with no social graces other than those learned from werewolves. Bakugou wants to be alpha of the class pack, Sero thinks Bakugou’s too controlling, and Kirishima just wants everyone to be friends. Todoroki tries to not have a coronary when Izuku appears by his bed at night, Tokoyami teaches Izuku how to meditate, Iida has to give Izuku Sex Ed... and basically, no one has any idea what they’re doing at any point in time.
Except Aizawa. Their “pack leader.”
Oh wait. Izuku keeps getting Aizawa to pet his head in front of other faculty members and has definitely slept at the foot of Aizawa’s bed.
So... scratch that. Not even Aizawa.
