Cassandra moves now, while Solas stares at her, his eyes wide. He takes a half-step back as she lunges forward, just in time to thrust her shield between him and a blight tentacle. “Solas,” Cassandra says in greeting, as though it is just another afternoon.
He stares a moment longer. Then, his lips curve up in a rare smile. “Cassandra,” he murmurs. “It is good to see you.”
And he’s right. It is good to see him. Her heart skips a beat in her chest, this close to him. His eyes flick to her lips, far from subtle.
“You can kiss me when the world is not ending.”
