Braiding his hair works much better especially when Lilia allows it to rest over his shoulder. Combined with the low-cut nightgown he has chosen for this event, the whole look gives off the more soft and approachable appeal that Lilia had been going for. He surveys himself in the vanity mirror critically, turning his body to check it over from various angles until he's interrupted by a knock.
"Lilia?" Malleus calls through the door, jiggling the knob when he finds it locked like the impatient brat he is. Lilia fucking adores and despairs of him in tandem.

Malleus shakes his head only to nod a moment later. His shoulders hunch up around his ears, tiny hands clutching at Lilia's shirt tightly. There's a slight tremor to them, and Lilia finds himself nuzzling into the top of the child's head soothingly only to jerk back a moment later hoping Malleus hadn't noticed his slip. Lilia had promised to view Malleus as an adult following the events of his overblot and yet here he was treating him like an actual child. It's not Lilia's fault he'd gotten confused though!
"Can you...do that again..." Malleus mumbles, ears flushing under Lilia's disbelieving stare. "...please?"

[ The man who rises from the closest table to the thrones is younger than Dan Heng expected. He is tall and his dark eyes are hooded by even darker brows, his mouth set in a pin-straight line. His hair sits behind his head in a bun that spills out of its binds.
