Summary
"Unfortunately," Fingolfin continued, trying his hardest not to be frightened, "not all of the Iathrim have yet returned from your Halls, and we cannot reach the Secondborn, and so we are unable to complete the list fully. Nevertheless, the list comprises all the reachable Elves who have been slain by Fëanáro and his sons, and in addition many of those who might be considered to have suffered more indirect or partial harms from the conduct of Fëanáro's line."
"And every single one of them has agreed that they forgive Fëanáro for his part in their suffering," Curufinwë finished, smoothly.
=======
The House of Finwë is returned from the Halls, except for one notable exception (well, two, but Aiko won't come). Fingolfin has mustered his many fractious relatives into an enormous effort to petition for the release of his brother, and the time has come for him (and, for some reason, Curufinwë) to bring their petition to Mandos.
As always when dealing with Fëanáro, the plans immediately implode and everything is much more difficult than anyone had expected - Valar included.

Summary
On the one hand, everything about this mysterious Solas guy and his Eldritch Librarian vibe screams 'will ritually sacrifice you to the Elder Gods.'
On the other hand, he seems nice, he's really hot, his voice is incredible, and he has So. Many. Books.
Really, Ellana Lavellan has no choice. (Besides, she has secrets enough of her own...)

Summary
In another world, Zuko might have left on the Day of Black Sun to join the Avatar. In this one, a chance encounter with Mai cuts him short. He is reminded of how deep his roots in the Fire Nation are, and convinced that the best way to restore the nation's honor is by removing his father and taking over the country in a coup.

Summary
Perhaps all brothers are the same, thought Éowyn, looking at Elrond. I suppose I’ve always known he had a twin, but only just now did I realise it. Not because he looks like a brother, but because in this moment he looks like mine.
Perhaps that was what small, pointless memories, like the image of little Éomer and his three-legged wooden horses, did: twitch every now and then, to remind one of old lives and connect them to new ones. She would never have thought of the Lord Elrond and her brother Éomer in the same breath, had the lord not been sitting just so, his weary chin in a nail-bitten hand.

Elrond tries to indulge in a spot of misery before his daughter's wedding. Éowyn lets him do no such thing. An unlikely friendship is forged in a damp stable at the crack of dawn.Series

"Would you do it again?" Elrond dares, his voice breaking on the question. "If you could go back, knowing everything—would you still jump?"
Elwing is quiet for a long moment.
Then she turns to him, face carefully composed, her voice near-inaudible: "What was the bride-price you named for your daughter, Elrond?"

Summary
"But I believed that however thoroughly violence mars the map, there remained small territories it could not occupy, like the miller's daughter in Sirion who hid seventeen children in her cellar, or the Fëanorian soldier who looked inside and told his commanding officer that it housed only bags of flour. Even when massacres were framed as requirements, there persisted those minor refusals, those unrecorded divergences from inevitability."
OR
"My great-aunt Batshiba used to read me a story about an ancient elf who had a tail," Bilbo offered Fëanor placidly, before giving him a piercing look. "Was that you?"

Summary
“That’s Lune,” Sophie whispered. “You two would make a lovely couple… Or maybe something already happened…”
Gustave didn’t respond.
He would have been lying if he claimed the thought had never crossed his mind. Even Maelle, with her too-perceptive teenage intuition, had already teased him about it. And now, Sophie was joining in.But every time that idea began to take shape in his mind, a shadow would sweep it away. A shadow bearing Sophie’s name.
Why this obsessive loyalty to a story that had ended?
Perhaps because a part of him had never truly turned the page. And now, it was too late.
In a few hours, Sophie would be nothing but a memory. They would leave for Expedition 33.
And both of them would likely be dead within the year.Maybe that was his greatest regret.
What If : in the heart of the expedition, buried feelings could change the course of everything?
