"That's not— you shouldn't—" Grace shakes his head. He knows Rocky doesn't mean to make him uncomfortable. Heck, Grace's biggest problem at the moment is that the knowledge of Rocky watching him doesn't make him uncomfortable. Not in the way it probably should. "It's not really sex. Since I'm by myself when I…" he trails off and hopes that's the end of it.
"Rocky is here when Grace have not-sex."
"No, I mean—" Grace sighs and tries not to pull out his hair. "It's only me. Touching myself. You don't touch me."
Rocky sinks back on his hind legs and goes quiet in a way that Grace recognizes as careful thought. Stony fingers click together and drum against the aluminum composite flooring. When Rocky speaks next Grace nearly falls off his stool.
"Grace let Rocky touch, question?"

Summary
Timelines cross when AIM decides to take Captain America out of the picture with a device they hypothesize will strip the man of his serum. Instead, Steve Rogers, along with Clint Barton who got in the way of the device, gets sent to an alternate timeline where Captain America was never needed, and the Steve Rogers of that timeline takes their place.

Clint knows that the circus folk mock him — call him too trusting, too soft-hearted — but even he knows nothing in this life comes free. The words puzzle him, and he reads them again carefully to make sure he hasn’t made a mistake.
His eyes are drawn to one posting at the very bottom corner, different from the others. This one is sun-faded and starting to yellow, curling at the corners. Clint crouches down, brow furrowing and lips moving as he sounds out the unfamiliar words.

Cap’s incredulous voice cuts through the stunned silence of the cockpit, loud and shocked. He’s standing there with his cowl in hand, gaping at the holo-screen at the front of the jet. Next to him, Tony is standing with his hands on his head, mouth hanging open in a similar fashion. Over on the other side of the cockpit is Jane, who has both palms clapped across her mouth like she’s trying to hold back hysterical giggles.

Clint leans forward to get a glimpse of Bucky Barnes as he walks onto the stage, and promptly manages to snort coffee onto his microphone. The Bucky that is casually strolling across to the little podium looks nothing like the grubby Winter Soldier version Clint has gotten used to watching when he lurks around the tower. Instead he’s dressed in what looks like a slightly updated version of his old army uniform, minus one sleeve to show off the metal plates of his arm.

Clint didn’t want Barney or Rumlow or Trick or even Konrad to manipulate him into doing something that turned his stomach, and as much as he was growing to love Natasha he knew that - if she needed to - she’d do exactly the same. Going back to SHIELD would mean putting the control back in someone else’s hands, and he liked the calluses that the hard work that he chose had put on his own.
