Summary
The day Admiral Cain kills the commander of the Galactica is the last day anyone on board the Battlestar Pegasus hears Lee Adama or Kara Thrace speak.
...if they do speak when they’re not on duty, no one else on board the Pegasus is around to hear it. For two months following the death of the Galactica commander, they fall silent. They never talk to anyone. Not in the mess, not in the gym, not in the bunkrooms. They keep to themselves, sitting alone and off to the side at dinner, disappear quickly after their shifts. No one tries to get them to talk, not even Taylor and the rest of the pilot corps. Everyone knows why they’ve set themselves apart, even if the official story won’t cop to it. Because, of course, Lee Adama is far from the only member of the Pegasus crew forced into service under the woman who murdered their family. So the Pegasus crew leaves them alone to their silence.
And then they’re gone.
Commander Adama backs down from the mutual assassination attempt. Admiral Cain does not.
What follows involves long-buried truths, a lot of lies, and a vow of silence.

I could marry this woman, he thinks suddenly, like a flash of lightning. They hadn’t been going out very long, just barely out of the fun, silly part of their relationship and into the deepening phase, but Zak thinks he might marry her. He’s kept his I love you buried unsaid, afraid to run her off, but he feels it...It will be perfect. It will all be in order. So say we all.
They say to make plans is to make the gods laugh. Zak doesn’t realize quite how quickly this perfect plan is about to begin unraveling.
The end begins mere seconds later, when the door opens and his brother steps through.
Lee and Kara meet slightly earlier than in canon and the connection between them is instantaneous and undeniable. It ruins Zak Adama’s life. And then, it saves it.
Three years later, the end of the world forces him to consider forgiveness.

Amos stops, takes in the scene. “Hey, cap,” he says cautiously. “You good?”
Holden blinks and takes a deep breath. “Peachy,” he says, in a wheeze.
Amos steps past him and goes to the pharmaceutical dispenser. “You drunk?”
Holden snorts. “I wish.”
“You here looking for drugs too?” Holden raises an eyebrow and Amos gestures up at his head. “Head’s killing me. I bet that knee’s not much better.”
“Oh. Right.” There’s a little hitch in Holden’s voice. His next breath he has to let out in a slow whistle. Then he says, “Knee’s fine. Keeping us at a third helps. I came because…” He swallows. “I was looking for something else. Doesn’t matter. You should get some sleep.”
After Ganymede, Amos watches the captain closely.

Cere answers the connection request and a tinny voice, sounding bored and well-rehearsed, says, “Prepare for boarding. Have your manifests ready.”
Greez gives her a questioning look and she nods. “We’re already locked in and with a destroyer backing them up. Better to play along than try to escape,” she says.
Greez nods and acknowledges the message from the other ship. Cere starts closing all the programs she keeps running at her station that reveal them to be more than the luxury liner for hire they pretend to be. “And yes, I remember the air filter extortion but I think being boarded by customs officials has nothing—”
“Boarded?”
After an unsettling encounter with an Imperial customs stop, Cal is fine. More than fine, actually. Totally and completely fine. But the back of his mind keeps turning to Bracca and his last ties to his old life. While exploring the ruins of Zeffo, he starts to pick away at the past. Literally.

And she hunts Jedi, when she gets the urge for it. It’s sustenance for her pet, yes. The creature living in the bowels of the Gaze Electric has to eat just like any other living creature needs to eat. But it’s different than the hunting parties that go out on wild planets to catch enough fish and meat to feed the Path. It’s more akin to the wealthy hobbyists of the core, who travel to far flung jungle planets to test themselves on prey even though they have plenty of food back home, easier obtained.

Summary
He didn’t know the first time he’d see her after she shot him was going to be so meek. Kara navigated with bluster, strong words and back slapping compliments. She was dry and ball-busting, her eyes glinting with the affection implied by openly dragging you until the metal floor rubbed all the egg off your face. The insult was clear, but the compliment was that she knew you could take it.
“I’m glad you’re going to be okay,” she said, one hand clinging to the privacy curtain. “Helo said you were up for visits.”
