Summary
Potter doesn't leave. He slides off the mattress, and instead settles down beside his bed on the floor. He adjusts on his legs, his chin cushioned on his arm, and then begins to talk. His voice is quiet and rough with lingering slumber, the sound of soft kisses, of wild dancing and unbridled laughter filling his head.
When Draco wakes up, once again, somewhere in the dark of the night and under the dim starlights of the constellations spell that he doesn't remember casting for a second time, there is nobody at the floor of his bedside.
He wonders if he'd only dreamed it all.
Sequel to 'Alucinatio'.

A love that has no way to go where it is meant to, rots in its stagnancy and becomes grief. It's the kind of love that spills over and stains reality, after it is nurtured in dreams of a world faraway. It's poison.
Which is why I'm glad Draco got away, and managed to become better. He did not need love to live. But he wanted it nonetheless. And that's the beauty of it.

Summary
So here’s the thing, he thinks, splayed out on the floor with unknown drugs making the whole world a red-tinged haze and a handful of terrified, wide-eyed, furious middle-schoolers gazing down at him like he’s a slug that they somehow stepped on.
This? Right here? He lays his head back against the floor, breathing hard and tasting copper. This is rock fucking bottom.
*
Billy Hargrove hits rock bottom, but the universe has a pick-axe and the will to dig. When he comes out on the other side, miraculously alive, Steve Harrington is there. Because of course he is.
The weird part is, he stays.Bookmarked by bellabearrr

Summary
Draco doesn't want to identify Harry Potter when he's dragged into his home. He wants nothing to do with this mess. And when Bellatrix needs someone to torture, maybe he gives her a nudge toward Harry Potter instead of Granger, who's certain to break. It's not Draco's fault Aunt Bella leaves Harry with a curse that has him leaking Dark magic. It's certainly not his fault Dobby kidnapped Draco from Malfoy Manor along with the others when Draco whispered a few words into a broken mirror shard. And for Merlin's sake, it's not his fault he's the only one practiced in fighting Dark magic. Why should he be punished? And punished. And punished...

Bookmarker's Notes
This entire work is a love letter to the indomitable human spirit and overcoming trauma. It sets the entire story in a world that is not filtered through rose-tinted glass, but presents it in its raw ugliness-the despair, the torment, the giving up but still rising despite it all because a love that takes root through the bones and into the soul will always keep that fire within burning continuously, through the cold and through hopelessness until you see a sliver of hope and it teaches you to grab unto that, to claw your way out of the abyss because it knows that the other half of your soul is out there, fighting just as hard to get back to you.
It doesn't show however, that love and spirit will get you through the worst of it-through the phantoms of your tormentor, through the insurmountable pain and debilitating damage you have been through but shows that healing is something you allow to happen. That a bleeding wound so deep cannot be easily placated by kisses and stilted reconciliation until you actually relearn one another and help each other heal.
It's a story that proves, that outside of fiction, we have magic in our souls. we are born with it and we are human because of it. Not the kind that bends stars or summons storms, but the quieter kind—the kind that survives. The kind that allows us to form profound connections that can turn enemies to our closest companions. The kind that drives away the loneliness and bestows us with the sweet relief of being seen and understood. The kind that allows us to love and be loved.
Honestly, this is one of the best fanfics I've read. It blows me away when it comes to technicalities because it's so well-made it made me actually appreciate and love a deus ex machine-one of the literary techniques i despise because it is so often so badly executed, but not this one. It made me glad that Draco could cheat death without being its master but just by being himself. I loved that the narrative does not shy away from trauma and its effects, that it wrapped up the story in a realistic away and that it did not choose the easy route of "love overcomes all." It may have traumatized me a bit tho. But still, it's a great story with a great plot and great world-building. I loved the magical theory in this one because it is seamlessly stitched into the world-building, managing to be its foundations and driving the plot forward. It's a breathtaking literary work and i cannot thank you enough, dear author for sharing it with us.

This fic is perfect! A snippet into the struggles of raising a neurodivergent child that captures the rawness of unconditional love of a parent <3
