Summary
sometimes – more often than he’d like to admit, actually – he just wants to tell her to fucking leave already, to take tanner and penny and run. what the fuck are you doing, abby? why are you here?
he feels like he’s drowning. he feels like he’s in a house that’s on fire, inhaling smoke that burns and clogs his lungs until he can’t catch his breath.
(or, abby stays. frank isn't sure that's a good thing.)

Summary
After his abrupt departure from the ED, Dr. King can't stop thinking about Frank Langdon.
She reaches out to Frank to check on him. As his addiction strains his already fragile marriage, Frank finds himself alone in his recovery and begins to lean on Mel for support. The next ten months take them both places they never thought they would go.
A fic exploring what would have happened if Mel and Frank had stayed in touch while he was away from the Pitt (and fell madly in love).

Summary
if you had asked him six months ago, when he was in the throes of rehab and recovery, that he would be spending the night after his first shift back at work making a burner tiktok account, he would have laughed in your face.
but, alas, as soon as he gets home from the hospital, that's what he's doing.
(or, dr. j gets gossipy.)
