Clusters of stars spiraled outward from the center of the room, glowing dimly in the dark. The constellations spread out across the blank sky canvas of their bedroom ceiling. They were the very same stars that they had pasted to Tooru’s bedroom walls as children, precariously balanced on stools as they tried their best to replicate the patterns of the night sky in bits of double-sided sticky tape and plastic cut-outs.
