Summary
“I said,” the demon murmurs, leaning down. “How long do you have?”
Link bites down on a half formed noise at the back of his throat.
“I—thirty. Thirty minutes.”
“It’ll do.”

Summary
How’d he get — a beetle emerges from its sandy veil and bites an exposed fingertip. He hardly looks at it for all the grain in his eyes. How’d he get here? Crawling, dehydrated, through the desert, an escort for a vial of holy water no greater in volume than the meager servings of stew doled out to knights in training in the Academy kitchens. Surely it must be important, but for his life he cannot remember why.

Summary
His eyes flickered to Ghirahim’s as he felt a gloved hand reach for his, and found that it had been tugged away from his book. “Can I help you?”
“Mm,” said the demon, placing a chaste kiss to the back of his hand. “Don’t mind me.”
And so, his gaze lingering on the demon for just a moment longer, Link did not.
Or, in which Link's attempts to read are foiled.

Summary
“Well?” The hand that had been toying with the back of Link’s hair gripped suddenly, forcing him to meet the demon’s gaze. “Your indecision is almost adorable.”
Link brought himself to scowl. The least he could do was pretend to have second thoughts. "You came all this way and now you don't even have the patience to let me think it through?"
But he didn't want to think it through, because he might discover things about himself that he'd rather not.
Or worse, he might make the right decision.

Summary
Scanning the ground below, Ghirahim couldn't help but notice the distinct lack of a green tunic against the lighter shade of Faron's grass, failing to grace his ears with unnecessary shouts and grunts of exertion that carried even to the top of his perfectly concealed perch. To hear those delightful noises and yet be denied witness of the boy making them was its own kind of torment, the kind that was quickly edging from tantalizing to treacherous.
He did not like to be kept waiting.

Summary
The woman in white visits his shop often.
“What are you looking for today, ma’am?” Amik asks from behind the counter when the bell on the door announces her arrival. “More yarn?”
(She’s been coming to him almost every morning for months, and still he doesn’t know what her name is.)
“Yes, you know me so well,” her voice always has a sort of…ethereal quality to it that he can never actually describe. It’s like…It’s like if honey and sugar had a baby and named it Kindness, or something, it’s-it’s warm in a way that the sun could never be, even during the hottest of summers, and the smile she gives him wraps around his very soul and comforts it with a hug. “How is business lately?”
“You’re still my only customer!” he calls as she disappears into the many shelves that are lined with every item he could find during his daily walks: string, yarn, leaves, rocks and jewels, sticks, arrows-
“You’re selling bugs now?” her voice echoes from the back of his store. “So many beetles!”
“They’re my favorite!” he shouts back.
