Silence reigned for a brief moment. Peter and Wade both seemed shocked into silence. Slowly, Matt could hear both of their heartbeats rapidly begin to speed up.
“Matt,” Peter said, terror evident in his tone, “You’re driving.”
Matt ground his teeth. “Obviously.”
“Matt,” Peter stressed, horror rising, “you’re blind!”
Time seemed to slow down. Matt blinked. He blinked again. He felt the steering wheel underneath his hands and the pedals beneath his feet. He blinked three more times. “Shit.”Or, Matt is too tired to remember that he's blind and drives a fucking car.
