Jesper was… confused watching this play out.
When they had first all been in the same room, Wylan had seemed terrified of Helvar. Which made sense, he was an intimidating guy! But now, there was an ease in the way Wylan would turn to him, double checking he didn’t get anything wrong when explaining. If Jesper didn’t mistake it, Helvar even smiled.

(There was also a Zemini serving boy, although, truthfully, that one was an accident… good staff are just so hard to come by.)
If Pekka had only one, or two, or four under his claw, he might have lived on merrily. But all six, living and griping and bleeding and bonding together in one country estate?
Six might be a bit of a problem for Pekka Rollins.
