Summary
After a bad breakup and a cross-country move, Katara is starting over in a city where she knows no one. Her saving graces: a kind old man who runs a coffee shop, and a band called Sozin's Comet whose music feels like it was written specifically about her life.
When she writes to the band on a whim, she doesn't expect a reply. But the frontman writes back - and keeps writing. At the same time, she meets someone new. He's guarded and a little frustrating and she can't quite figure him out, but somehow he becomes the person she tells everything to.
But the more time goes by, the more the lines blur between who she’s talking to… and who she’s actually falling for.

Summary
After Katara decides to spare Yon Rha, the gaang needs somewhere to go to hide from Azula and Ozai until Sozin's Comet arrives. Zuko knows just the place — but he first wants to take Katara there before going back to fetch the others. It's a special place that his mother once loved and after memories of Katara's mother being dredged up, Zuko decides to share it with her. //This story is canon compliant! It was recently pointed out that Zuko must've brought Katara to his family's Ember Island beach house first before going back to get the others, based on the fact he lands with Appa after Katara is still sitting on the docks and the others hop out with Zuko.
