Summary
Batman is wary of Superman. He doesn't trust the all powerful alien – he's seen firsthand how absolute power can corrupt an individual. It’s only a matter of time before he snaps.
Clark Kent is wary of Bruce Wayne. He's met too many men like him – charming, arrogant, and swimming in more money than they know what to do with. He’s hiding something, Clark is sure of it.
Bruce would do anything to learn more about the threat Superman poses, so when an unassuming new reporter with mysterious connections to the superhero takes over the Gotham beat, he doesn’t pass up the opportunity.
Seducing Clark Kent wasn’t exactly the plan, but hey, Bruce isn’t complaining.

David sighs, like this is trivial. “Doesn’t mean I don’t still have feelings.”
Michael’s head starts to hurt, and he didn’t know he could get a headache in his dreams. “Aren’t you dead?”
David blows out a long, steady stream of smoke. “Not sure why you’re asking me. We’re in your head, aren’t we?”
“So this is just a dream?” Something about David feels so real. Like Michael could reach out and touch him, feel the cool surface of his skin. For some reason, he can’t bring himself to do it.

Ennis opened his mouth to reply, but no words would come. Whenever he tried to say yes, a thousand reasons would tell him not to, and he was afraid. He was so damn afraid.
Jack caught their reflection in the window and felt that old, familiar blade push back into place. “Yeah.” He whispered, placing his cigarette back between his lips and turning to find his clothes. “I thought as much.”
