But here Jerry was, covered in blood, rivers of red dripping from his maw, which was slowly morphing back into a mouth at the sound of the music of his childhood. It was the blood of his former partner, who now lay dead across the room. Throat torn out with the stake still through his heart.

“Not a soul. I have been saving myself for you.”
Angus paused, looked up in time to see Louis send him a wink. He flushed, ducked his head to resume fighting with the buttons on his shirt.
“This don’t happen if you won’t uphold up your end of the deal. You can have me. Only me. But not the others.”

That final stand at the jazz club doesn't go as planned and, in a bid to save the town, Sheriff Angus strikes one more deal with the leader of the vampires.
