Seeing their smiles when they find out they’re going to be alright is one of may favorite parts of the job. But I think the worse part of it all might also be having to see their families faces when they find out their loved one isn’t gonna be alright.”

“Yeah, I suppose you don’t see too many crying faces in the OR do you?”
“Typically people can’t cry when under anesthesia.”
Emma couldn’t help the snort that came out of her mouth at that. Looking up at the attending she told him, “You’re pretty funny, Dr. Park. Has anyone told you that?”
“Mhm.” he hummed, not giving her anything else.
